Project details
What we need
- A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details
We are running a 2021 series of webinars highlighting past, present, and future women trailblazers in Arctic and Antarctic research and we are looking for an illustrator to help us create illustrated portraits of our 10 presenters to share on our website, as marketing material, and inspire girls to see themselves in polar research! We would love your help!
What we have in place
- We currently have a set of photographs and a vision for each portrait, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated staff member to support your work!, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to run the webinar series and in 2021 work to publish a quarterly middle school magazine to highlight women in polar research!
Breaking the Ice Ceiling, our webinar series, aims to educate our readers on the histories and current achievement of women, and aims to activate a culture shift among students, with a special emphasis on girls living in the Arctic and sub-Arctic, to see women as trailblazers of Arctic traditional and western sciences. We want girls to see themselves in every corner of the polar science community.
Project plan
Our mission
TAI envisions a world in which the Arctic’s diverse and complex sources of insecurity are identified, understood, and innovatively resolved. We hope to achieve this by informing Arctic policy across the circumpolar region through objective, multidisciplinary, and innovative social science research. We do this through publishing high-quality, open access research on a range of issues relating to security in the High North; providing innovative policy analysis and recommendations to policymakers a
What we do
The Arctic Institute is an independent international institute dedicated to research of and engagement in the many dimensions of Arctic insecurity. Established in 2011, TAI provides data, analysis, and recommendations to policymakers, researchers, media, and the interested public. Based in Washington, DC, TAI’s network of research associates extends across North America, Scandinavia, and the European Union.
Testimonials
Kika is an incredible graphic designer and I could not recommend her highly enough. She diligently listened to our needs and vision, and contributed her own design insights and expertise to produce a series of illustrations for our women Breaking the Ice Ceiling 2021 webinar series that we will use on our website and on social media. Not only that, she produced these in record time and we were able to include 15 graphics in our marketing materials in a matter of weeks! We are 100% satisfied with her work and strongly recommend using Kika to bring your organization's vision to life.
