Hi potential collaborator,
Our organization, Choose College, curates an initiative called the African American Regional Educational Alliances (AAREA), which focuses on "A Grassroots, Community-centric, Culturally-Relevant, and Responsive Approach to Educational Issues." (check out theaarea.org for more info.)
Sponsorships sustain our professional development and community events, and our team had compiled a sponsorship document in 2018, but had done so without any experience. Can you help us?
What we have in place
- We currently have a previously-written sponsorship packet, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have plenty of copy about our mission and what needs funding, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,890 , allowing us to boost our programming efforts with dynamic resources and features.
The AAREA is dedicated to training teachers, and ultimately empowering/preparing students who are underrepresented on college campuses. Our programs are proven to work, and your collaboration with us will result in a concrete increase in academic excellence across the state of California.

Our mission
The Choose College Educational Foundation (CCEF) promotes the benefits of pursuing education beyond high school.
What we do
The Choose College Educational Foundation (CCEF) is a 501c3 nonprofit that's developed and distributed college access information, materials, and resources across the greater Bay Area and surrounding counties for the past 15 years. CCEF targets underrepresented populations via multimedia public awareness campaigns and college-going/academic development outreach, and has reached over 50,000 people so far.
In 2012, CCEF became the fiscal sponsor of the African American Regional Educational Alliances (AAREA), one of twenty-seven voluntary regional collaborative organizations in California's Alliance for Regional Collaboration to Heighten Educational Success (ARCHES). AAREA's purpose is to engage in meaningful conversations with teachers, administrators, students, and their families about their current practices and experiences; to review best practices; and to develop a plan of action addressing the alarming rates of standardized test passage from the region's African American students.
