Additional details

We are seeking a volunteer to translate materials used in our job training and personal development program. We are holding a session in the summer of 2024 for Spanish-speaking women. The materials cover a range of job readiness topics, including resume writing, interviewing best practices, etc.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a google drive folder with all of materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have two spanish-speaking staff to review translated materials, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to serve at least twelve Spanish-speaking women in need in our area through our programming. These women will move toward self sufficiency, find employment, and gain confidence and empowerment.

Spanish-speaking women in the Washington, DC, area face many barriers to employment. Many Spanish-speaking women face challenges in accessing job training programs, job opportunities, and career advancement due to limited English proficiency. TWB piloted a Spanish-speaking session to help meet this need. Providing all of the training and group facilitation in Spanish allows for full participation and impact of the program.
