Project details

What we need
  • A document outlining the most appropriate social media channels, strategies for usage, goals and key metrics to evaluate success
  • Expert consultation on messaging, scheduling and frequency
  • Tailored suggestions for style, tone, and types of content to best showcase the Organization
What we have in place
  • We have established brand and guide standards; content on our new website that can be repurposed for social channels; we have identified an internal resource to manage the social efforts and are lucky to have a social-savvy teaching staff and family network. Most of our alumni are very active in social channels and can be a great asset to us in promoting the school’s social efforts. We also have access to expert third party content to link to from social channels and an extensive proprietary photo & video library we can use for visual content.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,632 , allowing us to communicate with 250 deaf and hard of hearing families and increase the visibility of the school.

We have a great school that makes a huge difference in the lives of deaf children. All of our resources are directed to these efforts. We need expert help and support to leverage the power of social media and digital “word of mouth” so that families who need our services can see what a great place our school is.

Our mission

Using Signing Exact English (S.E.E.) and oral communication we prepare deaf and hard-of-hearing students to be self-confident, articulate and academically competitive learners and contributing community members.

What we do

We support students in becoming self confident, articulate, academically competitive learners and community members who demonstrate that hearing loss is a difference, not a disability. Now, in our thirty-second year, we could not be more pleased with the results of our work. The School’s teaching techniques continue to deliver superior educational results with deaf and hard of hearing children in preschool through 8th grade. In addition to academic work, NWSDHH's program includes classroom and social interactions with hearing students (mainstreaming) to ensure that our deaf and hard of hearing students are ready to participate on an equal footing in a hearing society.

We currently contract with more than 20 school districts across the Puget Sound region and through our outreach activities are partnering with these districts to identify students best served by our school. Our data shows early intervention and identification of deaf and hard of hearing children makes a huge difference over time. If NWSDHH gets these children early on, we can have a significant effect on their English skills, academic, listening and speech skills. Through our unique teaching methods, we help them perform academically at grade level. Our goal is to ensure that NWSDHH students graduate ready to achieve at the level of their hearing peers academically and socially.

Testimonials

Nisha is a gift! Incredibly talented, smart and strategic, Nisha delivered much more than we could have ever hoped for. She listened, researched, and crafted a Social Media strategy tailored to our needs and resources. She's generous with her time and talent and very knowledgeable on the subject. I'm so glad the match took the time it took to come to fruition, as we can't imagine having anyone else working with us on this project. We are very grateful!
