CORE VALUE STATEMENTS:

Community: We are committed to one another as we live the monastic way of life according to the Rule of St. Benedict, integrating new members and incorporating the gifts we all bring to monastic life.

Prayer: We are committed to monastic prayer, both communal and personal.

Hospitality: We are committed to welcoming all people. As St. Benedict says: "All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ." (RB53)

Silence: We are committed to listening to God through the gift of a quiet internal spirit nurtured by the monastic environment.

Stewardship: We are committed to a reverence of all creation and the responsible use of our human gifts and goods.

Generativity: We are committed to fostering creativity, learning, and leadership within and outside of our monastic community.

Social Responsibility: We are committed to learn about communities outside our monastery and to respond in the spirit of St. Benedict as we strive to actively carry out the Social Teachings of the Church.
