What We Do

Peace Over Violence programs focus upon both intervention and prevention. Programs include: a 24/7 sexual assault and domestic violence crisis hotline, and emergency response through Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART); one-on-one and support group counseling, case management, and parenting education; independent advocacy and accompaniment for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence as they navigate the police response, evidence collection, orders of protection, witness preparation and court appearances; the Right Response: assistance to victims who have disabilities; financial literacy coaching and group workshops; youth leadership development, and teen dating violence prevention and intervention; policy development and policy advocacy; and legal assistance for victims of sexual, domestic and teen dating violence. All programs integrate the concepts of empowerment, education and advocacy into comprehensive services culturally and linguistically adapted to benefit special populations and are offered in English, Spanish and American Sign Language.
