MIGIZI provides a strong circle of support that nurtures the educational, social, economic and cultural development of American Indian youth.

MIGIZI means "bald eagle" in Ojibwe.

What We Do

Did you know that only 50.8% of American Indian students graduate in Minnesota? We at MIGIZI have been fighting these statistics for over 40 years.

We provide students in 7 school districts academic and cultural support along with two career training programs.

MIGIZI's Indigenous Pathways job training program offers Native youth the opportunity to
enroll in either our First Person Productions Internship where they get paid to learn about film, podcasting, graphic design and more -- or our hands-on Green Tech Internship focused on STEM and renewable and green energy.
