What We Do

ILAD works alongside local communities, governments, and organizations to effect positive change through the promotion of local language literacy and economic development.
At ILAD, we align our projects with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals -- specifically No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well Being, and Quality Education. True sustainable change takes time and commitment. ILAD personnel with expertise in linguistics live in under-resourced language communities to provide translation and literacy support, laying the foundation for education and economic prosperity. ILAD's team also includes business experts who provide guidance and support for community development and new business ventures that equip people to thrive. ILAD Field Team Members live in communities long-term, learn their language and culture, and gain a deep understanding of the assets and challenges of the people they serve. With this knowledge, beneficial and sustainable projects can be collaboratively designed and implemented.
