Mission

At Improving Education, we work to improve educational systems by harnessing the creative power of individuals to develop, test, and implement innovative and efficient solutions to complex problems. Improving Education works within schools to design better systems alongside teachers, and at home through our Bedtime in a Box program to empower families with materials and knowledge to improve learning, health, and routines for young children. Our new program Learning in a Box, provides critical learning materials to underserved students with little or no access to online tools. The wide range of interactive resources keep students learning and engaged.

What We Do

Bedtime in a Box is a creative but simple solution that supports the health and educational development of children prior to entering school by providing families with the materials, tools, and training they need to enact a comprehensive bedtime routine, seven days a week.

Each Learning in a Box kit contains an age-appropriate book; basic classroom supplies like pencils, a dry erase board and marker, and a notebook; arts and craft supplies including construction paper, scissors, crayons, and a glue stick; and manipulatives like play doh and unifix cubes. Additional resources in each Kit were selected by the iFellows to best meet the needs and interests of their students and correspond to activity guides which are also included.
