Mission
Home of the Sparrow partners with women facing homelessness to secure housing, achieve long-term stability, and chart new paths for their futures.
What We Do
We support single women and their children who are experiencing homelessness or in danger of losing their home. Through our five programs, we prevent evictions, provide a rental subsidy to women who are working but can't make ends meet and we support women between 55-62 years old. We believe that no woman or child should have to experience the trauma of homelessness and we empower women with the skills and tools needed to be financially independent and self-sufficient. Since our foundation as a non-profit in 1994, we have made an impact in the lives of 2500 women and children. The need in our community persists to be larger than what we can offer and we are constantly growing to help more women and children who need our help.
