Mission

The Center for New Data is a tech non-profit focused on using big data to build a more trustworthy and fair democracy. We create innovative big-data-driven tools and sources of knowledge, designed to support problem-solving and civic engagement in the democratic process.

We fight for voting rights by introducing transparency and accountability. Our flagship program uses big data to create a nationwide map of voting times and voting disparities, distributed to key nonprofit and media partners, so they can power investigative journalism, form evidence-based arguments for voting rights expansions, fight restrictive voter access laws, and win court cases.
