Mission

At Ashby Village, we believe mutual support makes aging easier, enriching and fun. Every day, our more than 700 members and volunteers throughout the East Bay Area come together to build and nurture programs they find meaningful. Villagers lend a hand at home or give a ride, organize social gatherings and events, and help each other stay connected. Together, we unite as multi-generational neighbors to create inclusive and purposeful opportunities for learning, support and friendship. We are aging better in community.

What We Do

Ashby Village empowers older adults in 7 East Bay cities to age and thrive in the places they call home. Our village is based on a mutual support model, where about 30% of our members organize with over 300 volunteers all ages and backgrounds to create and deliver more than 1,700 social and support programs and direct services annually.
