Mission
Since 1996, Amazon Watch has protected the rainforest and advanced the rights of Indigenous peoples in the Amazon Basin. We partner with Indigenous and environmental organizations in campaigns for human rights, corporate accountability, and the preservation of the Amazon's ecological systems.
What We Do
The Amazon rainforest is at a tipping point, the point of irreversible ecological collapse. We must act now to avert this crisis. Amazon Watch is deploying all its resources, capacities, and campaigns to ensure the future of the world's largest rainforest by halting and holding accountable the major drivers of Amazon destruction, advancing climate justice, and elevating Indigenous rights, resistance, autonomy, and self-determination.
