Mission

Alosa Health is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the dissemination of accurate, unbiased, evidence-based and non-commercial information about medications for health care professionals and patients by providing educational services (interactive outreach to physicians, classes, presentations, seminars, conferences) about the development, regulation, risks, and benefits of prescription drugs.

Alosa is not affiliated with any pharmaceutical company in any way.

What We Do

Alosa works with state and local public health agencies, health care providers and other groups with vested interests in improving the quality of health care services provided to their clients or constituents. We help them to identify challenges in quality of care and to develop and execute initiatives to address these challenges. Our major area of emphasis is to create programs which bring trained professionals directly into the offices of health care providers and share important evidence based insight and recommendations.

Alosa programs have addressed a number of important clinical issues, such as the appropriate use of anti-psychotic agents, vigilance and best practices in HIV screening, and reducing the risk of falls in the elderly. Our work has been proven to have positive impacts on cost and quality of care.
