Press Kit
Project details
What we need
- A press kit for the Organization (in print and electronic formats) that includes: mission and vision statement, historical information about the Organization, biographies of senior staff, fact sheet, logo design, supplementary multimedia, any relevant press releases, and contact information for the appropriate staff member at the Organization
- Press release template for future use
- Recommendations on how to build relationships with the media
What we have in place
- We currently have a website describing the program (www.MindBodyWeek.com), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have brand messaging, brochures, fliers, postcards and a social media presence, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,027 , allowing us to Relieve chronic pain for 400 Veterans.
The Mindfulness Center is hosting a major event, called Mind-Body Week, D.C., April 17-19, 2015. We need your help in creating a Press Release with impact to which the press will respond. We want attendees at our event, as well as Sponsors, so that hundreds of veterans and others in pain can attend and learn about mind-body therapies such as yoga, meditation and Tai Chi/Qigong for the treatment of pain. This project will help recruit sponsors of Mind-Body Week, and supporters of The Mindfulness Center and further our efforts to help people in pain.

3. We provide intensive training and workshops for people who want to learn the use of meditation, yoga and other mind-body therapies for treatment of people with special needs. Our graduates are now working in hospitals, schools and even prisons.
4. We conduct scientific research on the clinical benefits of mindfulness and other mind-body therapies, evaluating the mechanisms of action and best practices.Clinical trials test promising new treatments for children in pain, and veterans with PTSD, chronic pain and TBI. The Mindfulness Center maintains a strong clinical trial program, led by our Executive Director. Dr. Norris has research appointments at Children's National Medical Center, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and is Psychologist-in-Residence at American University.
