What we need
- Design of a presentation template based on Organization's visual branding guidelines
- Creation of 10-15 different slide types in Powerpoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Keynote, or another presentation software that can be customized for various needs
Additional details
Hatua Network is looking to design a strong pitch deck that will be presented to companies that can employ our alumni scholars.
Ideally, the designer should also have a strong grasp of what makes a great pitch and can suggest areas of improvement. The final design needs to be editable in Publisher, Powerpoint, or Google Slides.
What we have in place
- We currently have a sample design for what we previously used when presenting to potential corporate sponsors which should make it easier for you to get started.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to redirect our funds to further improve our mentorship program for our tertiary students.
This project allows us to finally complete the final key step in our scholarship journey for financially underprivileged youth -- ensuring that they are able to build their careers and support their communities.
A great pitch deck will make it easier to sit down with employers and discuss how recruiting our alumni (who consist of youth who wouldn't have made it through college/university without a scholarship) will benefit their organization's long-term growth.

Our mission
Hatua Network ends generational poverty by preparing promising, low-income youth to thrive in Kenya's workforce. Through scholarships, mentoring and career guidance, Hatua helps top students gain the skills, credentials and networks they need to lift themselves out of poverty.
What we do
To ensure our community's brightest youth reach their potential, Hatua Network provides scholarships to top students who cannot afford education. In 2023, Hatua supports 880 youth.
Holiday mentoring for high school students on life skills, civics and career guidance prepares our students for a successful transition through secondary to university. Once in higher education we pair each student with a professional working in the field he or she wishes to pursue. Mentors are tasked with helping students develop the skills, experience and networks they'll need to launch their own careers.
Through scholarships, mentoring and career guidance Hatua helps youth finish school and enter the workforce as professionals and responsible citizens. As a cohort of well-educated professionals who understand the challenges of poverty, have received help and know the importance of helping others, and see each other as one family despite their various ethnicities, Hatua's alumni will be uniquely positioned to help uplift our community through their economic activity and civic engagement.
