What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details
Storytelling has become a hot topic in our strategic conversation meetings and our organization would like to increase our capacity to tell our story.
What we have in place
- We have testimonials from some of our programs and are looking for a way to weave those stories into an overall narrative for what United Way of Gratiot and Isabella counties is and what we do in our community. We know donors respond to heartfelt narratives and we want to figure out what that language looks like for us.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to put more dollars into programs and funds for our community.
We hope this will help increase new donors and different revenue streams as general trends are showing a decrease in annual campaigns.

United Way works to Break the Cycle of Generational Poverty through educational programs that give children the skills to succeed and help adults achieve long-term financial stability so they can support themselves and their families.
