What we need
  • Ongoing finance support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: budgeting, planning, systems set up and review
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

I need a QuickBooks Online expert to help us ensure that we are accounting for transactions involving foreign exchange properly and to set up a way to split inter-company from third party receivables and payables. We also need support in understanding how we can best leverage QuickBooks online in the procurement process.

What we have in place
  • We have QuickBooks Online and believe we know where the issues are, we just need the best way to fix them.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,094 , allowing us to treat 40 more women suffering form depression

This project is important because we do not want any issues as we head into our audit shortly and streamlining our procurement will help us reach more beneficiaries more quickly.

Step 1: Ongoing Support
  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

Step 2: Training & Offboarding
  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks

StrongMinds provides life-changing mental health services to low-income Africans using an innovative community-based approach. Individuals in Africa living with mental illness have very limited access to treatment and endure both social stigmatization and economic deprivation. Group Interpersonal Therapy (G-IPT) is a proven and low-cost intervention which provides the opportunity to treat mental illnesses in low-income communities at scale for the first time in history.
