What we'd like to talk about

I need to compare the pros and cons of building out a custom Salesforce object to track my organizations investment selection process compared to purchasing an off the shelf software.

Additional context

My organization already uses Salesforce for donor management and for impact data collection and reporting through Tableau. We have not tracked our investment pipeline through a systematic tool yet and can imagine that there is a Salesforce solution, combined with jot forms, that would track companies from applying on our website all the way through a final investment decision. However, we do not want to build a system that is not intuitive for the entire team or that makes reporting any more complicated than it needs to be.
