Project details

What we need
  • Recommendations on active and passive recruiting and proper channels to pursue candidates
  • Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
  • Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
  • Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title
Additional details

CT nonprofit job market familiarity desirable but not required. Must fill 6 new grant positions, including BA level position in social work or related area, 3 family peer support special with lived experience. We also need a Youth outreach coordinator and 2 home visitors for an early childhood program. Recommendations for effective use of community resources, networking and job boards including optimizing use of ZipRecruiter. Revising job descriptions.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Job descriptions, past hiring experience, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Recruitment tracking, 11 ee's, program goals, policies, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,806 , allowing us to 1)increase our focus on supporting youth with disabilities directly. 2) increase compensation and benefits to supplement the wage structure of program grants and support a competitive living wage.

Helping to bring these new positions online ASAP expands our capacity to provide needed resources, support and advocacy for parents and families of children with disabilities and others in juvenile justice and children's behavioral health systems. We focus on the needs of those in marginalized groups who historically experience inadequate and inequitable resources resulting in disparate outcomes. These adverse outcomes have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and it's lingering effects.
