Board Assessment
Board Assessment
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page summary of takeaways and trends from interviewing key individuals (no more than 8 interviews total)
- Identification of the board’s strengths and recommendations for areas of improvement for board members collectively and individually
Additional details
We currently have a board of 37 members. We have no term limits, not inforced board dues and give or get policies, and have not strategically added anyone of substance. The board is scheduled to have a strategic planning session in February and we need help. My goal of this project is to properly asses the strengths and weaknesses of the board and hopefully find someone who can help us with the strategic planning session.
What we have in place
- We currently have previous strategic plan and recent surveys from board member, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have newly approved board bylaws, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,773 , allowing us to spend the fundraised dollars on what the donors expect - vital programming for our young kids.
We ask a lot of our board and most think that they are inactive, I believe they are burned out and not given clear directions with an understanding of their roles. Allowing them to better understand their part in the organization and staff to better understand how to help them reach their goals will help the overall organization.
