Project details

What we need
  • A professionally designed report, up to 10 pages, in high-resolution format (jpeg, pdf, etc.)
  • Accurate, print-ready specifications
Additional details

We are looking for a graphic designer to create a template for our annual / impact report, using InDesign. The report will be a compilation of all four of our organization's brands and is expected to be 12 pages, or six magazine spreads, in length. While the report should be prepared for print, we also plan to share it electronically.

Ideally, we are seeking a designer who will see this project through until January when all copy is ready but for now, just the template creation is needed.

What we have in place
  • We currently have logos and visual branding guidelines, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a vision for the overall template design, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to provide lifesaving support to animals who need us most.

This annual report will allow us to share the impact of our accomplishments in 2021, increasing overall support for the work we do to further our mission of promoting and providing the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.

Our mission

Our story hasn't necessarily been for the faint of heart. Austin Pets Alive! began when vulnerable, homeless pets truly needed us the most. When we were first imagined, Austin had a kill-rate of 87% - today, we have a save-rate of 97%. Through hardships, we have found inspiration; and through this inspiration, we have saved lives. Learn more about our journey to becoming - and maintaining our status as - the largest No Kill city in the country below.

What we do

APA! operates a local rescue and adoption shelter in Austin, which pulls in at-risk animals from Austin's city shelters as well as animals from across Texas and the U.S., and specialized in medical and behavioral programs that offer lifesaving to animals not traditionally saved in shelters across the country. APA! is also a national thought leader in animal welfare, and currently is the backbone organization for the national, collaborative Human Animal Support Services project, which works to revolutionize animal welfare by merging it with human welfare. Data and research are key elements in both its local and national operations.

Testimonials

We had an incredible experience working with Astrid! She is such a talented designer and it was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with her on this project. She took the time to listen to and understand our needs, and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. The project ended up being even larger than we anticipated, but she continued to remain flexible and was willing to help us even with the extended timeline. The finished product was even better than we could have expected and will make a tremendous difference in connecting with our supporters!
