Project details

What we need
  • Inventory and assessment of Organization's existing website content
  • Recommendations of new content according to communication goals
  • Note: This project does not include feedback on a website's layout and design. For support in that area, please check out our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details

We would like to ensure that Habitat's international travel program's website takes a community-centered approach when discussing impact. We would like a review of 3 pages on our website, and our volunteer handbook to learn more about where we can improve.

What we have in place
  • We currently have qualitative data and organizational information about volunteer benefits to communities. We also have a dedicated staff member to support you with any additional information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,052 , allowing us to build more affordable housing solutions.

Shifting to a focus on volunteering for development will help us convey our community-centered volunteer approach to volunteers interested in joining Habitat's international travel program.

Our mission

Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our mission is to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.

What we do

Habitat for Humanity offers homeownership opportunities to families who are unable to obtain conventional house financing. Generally, this includes those whose income is 30 to 50 percent of the area's median income. In most cases, prospective Habitat homeowner families make a $500 down payment. Additionally, they contribute 300 to 500 hours of "sweat equity" on the construction of their home or someone else's home. Because Habitat houses are built using donations of land, material and labor, mortgage payments are kept affordable.

Testimonials

Ena was professional and provided much needed feedback regarding our website. The recommendations we received will go far in helping us to improve our content.
