What we need
  • Setup of selected accounting software (e.g. Aplos, Araize)
  • Training and guidelines on how to manage system and generate basic reports
Additional details

We need support with setting up an accounting system including book keeping, monitoring of different projects that we fund etc. As of now, we only use Excel, but as our projects become more complex, we would like to get advice from a finance expert on how to manage and organise our accounting setup. We are not nessesariliy looking for a software expert, rather someone that has good ideas on how to systematically set up the book keeping. We operate in German so German speaker preferred.

  • - "onboarding" to understand where we are now and what we would like to get out of the support

    - regular catch ups online
How this will help
This project will save us $5,409 , allowing us to support even more projects and campaigns that are fighting for action in order to achieve 1,5degC.

As our organisatio grows, we are very happy to be able to support more organisations, projects and campaign with the aim to call for political action in order to stop the climate crisis. A solid accounting system will help us to work more effectively, and ultimately have more resources to spent working in the projects and with people we support.

Prep: Information Sharing
  • Volunteer Manager shares detailed description of existing financial record keeping and financial reporting system
  • Professional makes recommendations on accounting system reports to address the Organization's needs
  • Note: If necessary, Volunteer Manager may have Volunteer sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to sharing and discussing Organization’s financial information

Milestone 1: Implementation
  • Professional conducts financial data migration
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager check accuracy of migration
  • Professional sets up account admin privileges for Organization’s designated admin users

Milestone 2: Training & Handover
  • Professional provides basic training for Volunteer Manager and supporting staff for tracking and reporting needs including guidelines for continued use of system
  • Professional reviews above guidelines and tips with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional is available for up to two weeks to address questions as Volunteer Manager starts to adopt new bookkeeping system
