Project Details

What We Need
  • Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
  • Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
Additional Details

We are a VERY small nonprofit with dreams of growth and would like to understand what compensation tools we might explore offering and at what cost that would poise us for adding and attracting staff - such as a 403B or health benefits or ??? Currently we have 2.2 FTE, no benefits.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have salary information and a proposal for health coverage, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have access to MN Council of Nonprofits Salary info, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to allowing us to utilize those resources on other expense needs of our small budget ($230K) organization.

As we embark on strategic planning in 2022 having an idea of the compensation tools, possibilities and issues will inform our agency choices and direction in the next 3-5 years.

Our Mission

Daily Work provides employment services and mentoring so all job seekers can thrive, resulting in a community where everyone can work, grow, and contribute. We focus on employment as a means to achieving financial self-sufficiency and a healthy, holistic life experience.

What We Do

Through one-to-one employment case management services, Daily Work strives to mitigate systemic barriers that limit access and opportunity for job seekers. Our work is grounded in an awareness of the relationship between long-term poverty and un- or under-employment, and the disproportionate impact of both on immigrants and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Daily Work job seekers rely upon holistic case management services to organize and prioritize their needs. While not a one-stop-shop, we provide the opportunity to work with one case manager who can assist with navigating multiple programs and agencies.

Typical tasks include job identification; completing online applications; resumes and cover letters; interview and workplace culture coaching; healthcare and housing applications; support for English, financial and technology literacy; assistance with a variety of paperwork, and securing picture IDs or driver's licenses. Job seekers are supported through job orientation, training, and advancement. Services progress as employment and basic need milestones are met. We prioritize providing access to technology and computer literacy to address the ever-increasing need for tech literacy.
