What we have in place

How this will help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to Dollars saved will contribute to facilitating more research and outreach programming, allowing the Raincoast Lab to direct more time and funding into other avenues.

The Bear Project was an initial collaboration between the Raincoast Conservation Foundation and the Heiltsuk First Nation, who led this work based on research questions within the community. This project has evolved into over a decade of research with our many partners that have made it possible, allowing our team to expand research. Our mission

Raincoast is a team of conservationists and scientists empowered by our research to protect the lands, waters and wildlife of coastal British Columbia.

What we do

Since 1990, we have been making progress toward our habitat and wildlife protection goals. Our on-the-ground presence has given us a deep-rooted understanding of BC's vast coastline. We work in partnership with scientists, First Nations, local communities and NGOs to build support for decisions that protect marine and rainforest habitat on BC's coast.
