Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

-Structural changes to the website's core and modules (hosted on Drupal), and aesthetic changes to our pages, including creating graphics.
-Improve usability and navigation.
-Design new pages, update old ones, create an archive/index of old content, and automate how and when content shows up on certain pages.
-Create interactive and graphically-rich online resource libraries.
-Integrate our "take action" page with our Mailchimp e-blasts (if possible).

What we have in place
  • We currently have a Slack team for easy coordination with the project lead, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have regular team meetings to coordinate over the website, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to hire a dedicated staff to continue building out our resource libraries and ensure quality, state-specific research and data to support grassroots activists.

Our work is extremely public facing, as we aim to educate both the public and policymakers on topics in energy policy and climate change. Though we rely heavily on outreach and communications, our website does not currently communicate our work in public discourse because we don't have a dedicated website person on staff. Our website is completely outdated. A website that draws allies and political targets in to learn more about the reforms we need would ensure our movement continues to grow.

Our mission

Alliance for a Green Economy (AGREE) works for safe, affordable energy and the development of a green economy in New York State. Our goal is a prosperous, safe, and healthy New York, fulfilling the promise of conservation, energy efficiency, and safe, clean renewable energy sources to end our state's reliance on wasteful and environmentally destructive forms of energy. The Alliance works to promote this transition to a carbon-free and nuclear-free future and educates the public about alternatives that can revitalize the economy and safeguard human health and the environment.
