What we need
  • An edited 1-3 minute video delivered in electronic format as agreed upon between the Professional and Organization, with HD quality as a master version, along with any agreed upon formats for final usage
Additional details

Our organization, Art Enables, a studio and gallery for artists with disabilities, is looking to produce a 1-3 minute about the day in the life of one (possibly two) of our resident artists. We would shoot and collect all video content and would need an editor to put it into a final product. We will use this product in our end-of-year communications and as an evergreen video on our website.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a director of photography who is ready to shoot the content, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a communications professional on staff to assist, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to invest in art materials, space, and professional resources for our resident artists.

15% of the world's population has a disability, making them the largest minority in the world and only 20% of people with disabilities are participating in the workforce. Art Enables works against those statistics by providing artists with disabilities the opportunity to create, market, and earn an income from their original and compelling artwork. This video project seeks to amplify our artist's voices so that their work can be seen and enjoyed, and most importantly bought, by many more people.

Prep: Information Sharing & Asset Exchange
  • Volunteer Manager provides overview of vision and goals for video, as well as information about target audience
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional agree upon file format and length of video
  • Volunteer Manager collects collateral (e.g. raw video footage, photos, testimonials, media materials) to be edited into the video, and digitizes all the materials in the format and resolution suggested by the professional. If applicable, the Organization provides links to 3-5 videos it would like the professional to use as a creative guideline for the final product

Milestone 1: Video Outline & Script Finalization
  • Professional reviews assets that the Organization shared (including existing footage and proposed script) to create video outline
  • Professional shares with Organization and incorporates feedback

Milestone 2: Video Creation & Feedback
  • Professional creates video in agreed upon format and shares with Organization for feedback (up to 2 rounds)

Milestone 3: Final Video Delivery
  • Professional delivers final video in agreed upon format

Art Enables is an Art Gallery and Vocational Arts program dedicated to creating opportunities for artists with disabilities to make, market, and earn income from their original and compelling artwork. Since our founding in 2001, artists have sold over $1 million dollars in artwork.

In addition to earning income from art sales, artists build the skills, relationships, and experience necessary for a successful career in the arts. We offer our artists the creative space, materials, and marketing support they need to develop and succeed as professionals.
