What we need
  • Ongoing graphic design support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: logo design, flyer design, branded assets for social media
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

This will be the organization's first time executing a multi-channel annual fund campaign. Graphic design support for: direct mail, email, 4 social media posts for FB, IG and LinkedIn, and 4 website banners (based on social media design).

What we have in place
  • We currently have multi-channel annual fund strategy doc, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have (will have) appeal content, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to help adult learners improve their lives through literacy.

LCN's most urgent need is to update our study materials and classroom technology to enhance curriculum. This standardized curriculum follows best practices and is tailored to the immigrant literacy experience. Students will be better equipped to handle practical life applications outside the classroom.

Our goal is to raise $15K by December 31st.

  • Volunteer and Volunteer Manager align on the scope of ongoing support that the Volunteer will provide to address this need

Step 1: Ongoing Support
  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

Step 2: Training & Offboarding
  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks

Our mission

Literacy Council of Norristown (LCN) empowers adults to improve literacy skills or learn the English language utilizing trained volunteers and teachers who provide tutoring or classroom instruction at no cost.

What we do

We provide one-on-one tutoring for adult learners in GED preparation, improving reading and math skills, citizenship preparation, as well as English as a Foreign language classes.
