Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

Our organization is in transition as we seek to build our membership from an alumni base of hula dancers over the last forty years to join us in preserving our dances, archive performances on a website, and eventually film a documentary of our kumu hula (teacher). Our membership building effort is the first step to then raise funds for our film to shoot in 2-3 years.
Task: To develop a comprehensive strategy to build our foundation membership incorporating tradition means and social media.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a BOD in place and a modest budget, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have capable and semi-experienced board members, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to invest in developing our Foundation website to enable us to provide a platform to strengthen our members and supporters and attract major partners for our documentary film.

By coalescing the collective relationships of past students and supporters we preserve the legacy of our hula school "halau" and teachings of our founder and teacher. We hope to develop additional resources both in the community, professional and corporate arena to help fund the archiving of our hula dances, competition performances and eventually a full feature documentary film.
