What we need
  • Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice

Additional details

SAFE's mission: To engage our community in working to prevent and reduce substance abuse. We educate about safe storage and disposal of medications. The "Don't Be An Accidental Drug Dealer" card directs people to locations distributing free medication disposal pouches. A Korean translation of the card will help those who speak Korean to have access to this important safety information. If provided to us as a Word document, our printer will insert it onto the card which has our logos.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an example of the card in English, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have translation in Word in another langauge as an example, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to use unspent funds for printing costs, and to buy additional medication lockboxes and disposal pouches to distribute free to community members.

Many unintentional drug overdoses happen as a result of access to a loved one's medicine. The Asian/Latino Solidarity Alliance Outreach and Communication report provided to SAFE in 2021 recommended Korean language educational print resources. It is important to SAFE to reach as many community members as possible with safe storage and medication disposal information to keep all community members, including children, safe from accessing prescription or OTC medicines not prescribed to them.
