Employee Handbook
Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details
Hello. We wish to have a review to make sure our policies and language are in line with newer legislation particularly pertaining to COVID, recreational marijuana/substance use, vacation/PTO/holiday standards, payouts of accrued PTO for exiting employees, etc. Thanks.
What we have in place
- We currently have a copy of our current HR manual, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have available Management staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to afford a new internet security package for our agency operation.
Plainly, our HR manual has not been updated since 2014. We know there have been law changes that require our policies to be reviewed and updated.
Project plan
Our mission
To enhance the quality of life for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers in North Central Connecticut by ensuring access to quality, cost-effective services.
What we do
NCAAA is a private non-profit organization serving the 38-town Greater Hartford region. One of five Area Agencies on Aging in Connecticut, we have been providing planning, funding, and advocacy services for 46 years as of July 2020. Our annual budget is $5M. We are a hybrid in that we are both a funding agency; we provide grants management and oversight for an average of 60 community based programs annually; and a direct service organization; we provide information, assistance, person-centered-counseling, and a variety of respite care programs. CT is the sixth oldest state in the country. Our goal to is to ensure that the residents aged 60+ in our region have what they need to stay in their homes as long as possible and that their caregivers have what they need to function safely and capably in their roles.
