Project details

What we need
  • Customized Excel Training session(s) for up to 5 people over the course of 1-2 days
  • Sessions may be broken up into Beginner, Intermediate, and/or Advanced
  • Sample topics may include: formulas, commonly used functions, autofill, sorting and filtering, freezing, hiding, and grouping, formatting tips, keyboard shortcuts, pivot tables, charting and graphing, print readiness, collaborative work issues, and overall best practices
Additional details

Dear,

We are looking to improve Excel skills of a group of 7 people with homogenous Excel knowledge.

The people are responsible, among others, to conduct a loan programme in North-Kivu (around Virunga National Park) and review financial plans of entrepreneurs. They speak French (and limited English) - ideally the training would be in French. They have experience in handling complex models but with limited understanding of the underlying formulas.

What we have in place
  • All the staff have computers and a French excel version. They work in different regions with limited possibilities of gathering within a single room. They have an internet access.

We can provide with whatever makes sense to deliver on this project. I've already provided the staff with training but I would greatly benefit from the teaching and experience skills of someone else to help them improve to the next level.

I am happy to help draft exercises / training material
How this will help
This project will save us $4,174 , allowing us to further increase the loan programme impact

DRC education system is notoriously bad. Continuous learning and development of staff is extremely important to secure the future of the organization and offering development and career opportunities for local people (vs expats). Such training directly helps the organization reduce its dependence on expats
