Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details
We're working on a final grant report that will highlight accomplishments, challenges, and next steps. We have an outline and a strong starting point with some drafted documents. We seek help weaving a compelling narrative for our funder and potentially using it in other capacities. We'd love to pull a draft report together by the end of this month.
What we have in place
- We currently have approved outline for content, slide decks, & videos, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have mission, vision & strategic plan documents, etc., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to focus on executing and implementing project plans designed to support organizational development and long-term sustainability.
This project will position Ubuntu to advance its mission. The intent is to share our impact, attract additional financial investments and human resources to undergird the efforts of taking on the challenge of building individual and collective capacity of residents and key stakeholders. And as a result, create a thriving, livable, and equitable community for all segments of its population.
Project plan
Our mission
UCC's mission is to co-create a sustainable community impact platform for all community stakeholders, by building collective agency and social capital to ensure a healthy, thriving, and vibrant community for all.
What we do
UCC seeks to introduce a people-centered community economic development initiative that provides community-based intervention strategies at the saturation point. We believe that through collective action, we can increase and more efficiently deliver services and resources. Thus, reducing the effects of poverty that has exacerbated existing stressors (such as housing and job losses, behavioral/mental health, and environmental issues) on families, individuals, and communities. We provide technical assistance, training, and capacity building for individuals, families, and key stakeholders. Additionally, promote advantages of innovative learning opportunities that create entrepreneurship options for youth and adults while greatly benefiting under-served communities in need.
Testimonials
It was a privilege to work with Noah. He brought his incredible talent, skills, insight, and perspective to the storytelling project. He inspired me to think outside the box in telling Ubuntu’s story. I submitted the report last week to the funder, and the reviewer had only two minor revisions. The recommended changes were pertinent to the outcomes of the project.
The Ubuntu team was very kind and professional. We got on great and I would work with them again.
