Rise Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization working to eradicate hunger. We have big goals and we need to ensure our Board of Directors is set up to tackle our mission as we build a more globally-minded organization. We currently have a strategic plan that outlines the direction of our organization, including plans for taking the board to that next level. We're looking for a volunteer with experience in global nonprofits or multinational organizations.
What we have in place
- We currently have a clear, three year strategic plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have access to all Board of Directors and the Executive Team, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,773 , allowing us to shift more funding toward our transformative programs that nourish lives and empower communities.
This project is critical to the next phase of Rise Against Hunger. In order for us to meet the growing need of people facing food insecurity globally, we need a global board to steward us. A highly motivated, diverse, and engaged board will elevate our financial and skills-based support, allowing us to grow the movement through advocacy campaigns, fundraising, and international partnerships.

To end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-saving aid to the world's most vulnerable and by creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources.
What we do
Every year, Rise Against Hunger provides millions of nutritious meals and other life-saving aid to children and families all over the world. We engage volunteers around the world in an authentic and powerful experience that connects them directly with the people we serve. Rise Against Hunger collaborates with existing development efforts in vulnerable communities to provide meals to places such as schools, orphanages, nurseries and medical clinics.
