Additional Details
We are seeking a Business Manager (primarily HR/Accounting responsibilities) for our theatre company, which also has programs in schools and prisons. We have already posted the job description (a few weeks ago), but have received only three responses and would like to increase the pool of candidates. I would like to move quickly to replace the outgoing employee!
What we have in place
- We currently have the current job description and designated point person, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an enthusiastic learner, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,765 , allowing us to better support the full community of artists we serve, both creatively and financially.
Starting with this important position, which is currently open, we would like to better understand how to reach strong candidates for this exceptional, idiosyncratic, non-profit (so, below-market pay) work! It is important to us that our staff is representative of the larger Bay Area community, and that we communicate throughout the process our openness to people with non-traditional, non-linear professional backgrounds.
Project plan
Our mission
With Shakespeare as our endless inspiration, our mission is to serve as a vibrant catalyst for cultural engagement, education, and social justice to benefit the people of Marin County, the San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond.
What we do
The programs we provide are:
ON STAGE
Professional mainstage productions and performances by the Returned Citizens Theatre Troupe
EDUCATION
Shakespeare and theatre education, with a focus on schools serving low-income families
SOCIAL JUSTICE
Working in 13 California state prisons as the leading provider of Shakespeare in Prison programs in the world
In Progress: We are in the middle of a capital campaign to renovate our outdoor amphitheatre and build a year-round indoor Performing Arts & Education Center in downtown San Rafael.
