Help Mt. Graham Safe House enhance their annual reports, grant applications, and other marketing materials with compelling narratives about their organization’s mission, activities, and achievements.
Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details
We need our story put together in a way that compels donors to give, we have to respect our client privacy and confidentiality. We can use stories about those we serve as long as we don't put names and change some details to preserve privacy.
What we have in place
- We currently have a basic written history, employees with longevity, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have clients willing to tell their story, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to use these funds to put toward our program and raise more funds to support our long term efforts
We struggle with fundraising, especially online, because we are not telling our story properly. It needs to be compelling and more personal. We need to raise private funds for our program because we are about 90% government funded right now.

Testimonials

It was a really good experience to learn about the work Mount Graham Safe House is doing in Southern Arizona to support people impacted by domestic and sexual violence. We put together a simple (minimalist) PowerPoint that tells the story of their 26 years in operations through a series of quotes from staff and clients, graphics and stats about their operations, and some key findings about the impact of intimate partner and sexual violence on the population as a whole, in the workplace, and with law enforcement engagement. Jeanette shared that she thinks the PowerPoint will help them in their fundraising and outreach efforts. I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes. I will continue to watch for new projects from this organization!
