Additional details
ACCESS REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE desires an employee handbook that both reflects our values and also is legally aligned with the state of California. We'd like someone who can also make recommendations about where we can provide flexibility for staff, where we could improve our HR practices, etc.
What we have in place
- We currently have an employee handbook and an updated strategic plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have recommendations for what we'd like to include, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to provide direct services to our callers.
ACCESS' employee handbook has not been updated in quite sometime. With a newly approved strategic plan, we're eager to ensure that our employee handbook reflects our values from cover to cover.

Our mission
ACCESS REPRODUCTIVE removes barriers to sexual and reproductive health care and builds the power of Californians to demand health, justice and dignity.
At ACCESS RJ, we are building towards a future where all people in California have the freedom and resources necessary to make empowered and dignified decisions about their sexual and reproductive health, including the decision to have an abortion, without shame or stigma and regardless of their race, religion, documentation or economic status. A future where Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) and queer communities trust themselves; are trusted; and have the social, political, and economic power to sustain their communities and to build the families they desire, chosen and biological.
What we do
ACCESS supports people living in or traveling to California for their reproductive health care needs. We can provide transportation, funding, childcare, translation, housing, emotional support, and more. We combine our direct services with our policy advocacy work to ensure we can make systemic change for our communities.
