Project details

What we need
  • 6-8 coaching sessions with a staff member
  • Actionable steps and advice to address an ongoing managerial issue
  • Assessment of the effectiveness of the Organization's leadership team
Additional details

As the coordinator of a growing network of organizations, schools, youth, state and local agencies and community advocates focused on advocating for equitable outdoor learning opportunities for all youth in Maine, I have developed a lot in my collaborative leadership skills, but would benefit from coaching from someone who is experienced with horizontal network dynamics, multigenerational and multiracial leadership dynamics, and equity centered and emergent process.

What we have in place
  • We currently have background information about the network, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an oversight committee to share context about my leadership, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,808 , allowing us to dedicate funds directly to supporting the engagement of stakeholders with historic barriers to participation

While the network's power comes from all of the participants who are engaged, I have had to engage differently as a leader over time as the network has grown and evolved. I want to make sure that my leadership style continues to grow and develop with the network, and as a white coordinator of a network with growing engagement of people of color, especially youth, I want to do my best to lead in a way that centers others voices, but also that uses my own voice in powerful ways.
