This is Children Literacy Network's 30th Anniversary Year. We are in need of a marketing and digital graphic design volunteer to give up to 20 hours of their time to help us create invitations and ads for social media.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an events committee, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have volunteers and staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to reach more low-income children through our impactful literacy programs

This year is very important to CLN. We are running many campaigns and events to raise money.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where graphics will be posted, ideas for copy, and images to include in the graphics (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the graphic, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of graphics or memes they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts three graphics using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of graphic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Graphic Delivered
  • Professional delivers final version of the graphics and explains how to upload image(s) to the Organization’s chosen platform(s)

Our mission

Growing Readers for Life! The mission of the Children's Literacy Network (CLN) is to design and implement literacy-based programs to provide equitable opportunities for children to develop a love of reading and books. Children's Literacy Network is an active participant in the Cradle to Career Initiative, which is focused on meeting children's needs throughout their educational and developmental stages. CLN takes an active role in making sure children are ready to succeed in kindergarten, in ensuring all children will read proficiently by the end of third grade, and in supporting the overall goal, that all youth will graduate high school.
