Project details

What we need
  • We need to be able to communicate complex data on the shifts in attitudes of teenagers from conflict regions after a month of engaging in dialogue and activities with their ‘enemies.’ We see tremendous shifts in attitudes on issues like trust, belief in peace, willingness to engage in peaceful activities, etc. These are key to transforming conflicts around the world, and we want to show how our work is contributing to positive, meaningful change among future leaders.

We will be thrilled to share these visual aids on our website, social media, and publications.

What we have in place
  • We have clear data and phrases that we want to represent through the infographics.
We have a set of colors and fonts we typically use in our publications.
We have examples of infographics we find particularly compelling that have served as inspiration and impetus for this project.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to bring 1 emerging leader from a conflict region to our International Camp in Maine.

These infographics will help us in answering a question we are constantly being asked: does your program work? We believe in the power and the impact of our programs, and we are struggling to share that with our audiences – both those who have known us for years, and those who are just meeting us. Without these new kinds of visuals, we will keep being stuck in the trap of program reports that are too vague and ‘wordy,’ do not register powerfully in people’s brains, and lack imagery and thus concreteness.

Our mission

Seeds of Peace inspires and equips new generations of leaders from regions of conflict with the relationships, understanding, and skills needed to advance lasting peace.

What we do

In the face of some of the world’s most intractable conflicts, Seeds of Peace gives rise to new generations of leaders uniquely inspired and equipped to build lasting peace.

Treaties are negotiated by governments; peace is made by people. Since 1993, Seeds of Peace has set the standard in international peace-building by providing exceptional young people and educators from regions of conflict with an otherwise impossible opportunity to meet their historic enemies face-to-face at our International Camp in Maine.

We build on their extra-ordinary and critical relationships and understanding through year-round local programs that focus on the core leadership capacities needed to advance peace. There are now over 5,000 Seeds and Educators from 27 countries who prove that solutions exist, peace is possible, and there is reason to have hope for a better future.
