Project plan
Our mission
We partner with the community to alleviate disparities in health, education, employment and incarceration among at risk individuals in central Florida.
What we do
We provide an array of services to assist individuals in becoming self sufficient. Through a partnership with Orange County Public Schools ( Orlando Tech), we provide GED preparation classes. We also provide employment training and placement, medical and housing referrals and Rites of Passage for Black males 13-17 ( mentoring, homework assistance, tutoring, community service and support groups).
Julius was a sophomore in high school and was referred to our agency because of trouble with the law. We were asked to help provide guidance and direction. He was enrolled in our Rites of Passage program and took advantages of the services the program offered. Five years later, he is a junior in a state university majoring in Bio-mechanical Engineering and is very active on campus. He is a founding member of the Society of Black Engineers on campus. Julius represents the many Black male youth that are excelling in school, community and life because of the mentoring services we provide.
