Project details

What we need
  • Ongoing graphic design support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: logo design, flyer design, branded assets for social media
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

Review of current digital assets and assistance updating our brand guide.

What we have in place
  • We currently use Canva for nonprofits to deign all of our graphics for social media. We also have a brand guide that I would like to update.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to direct those funds to our direct service programs, such as crisis intervention for families impacted by homicide.

This will help us continue to grow our presence in our community and online as most of our services our now virtual due to COVID. Branding and marketing are extremely important as we continue to grow our presence.

Our mission

Homicide Survivors, Inc. is on a mission to help meet the crisis and long term needs of families of murder victims through support, advocacy, and assistance.

What we do

In the last year, our organization has supported families of homicide victims by:

Advocating on behalf of their victims' rights on over 90 criminal cases, prosecuted at the county and federal level;

Providing emotional support and direct services to over 2,000 individual survivors through traditional support groups and hosting annual memorial events such as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims and National Crime Victims Rights Week Candlelight Vigil;

Offering alternative therapies, such as Trauma informed Yoga and Equine Therapy to promote healing;

And providing over $17,000 in direct emergency financial assistance for expenses such as rent and utilities, travel related expenses and lodging for families to attend court, as well as cemetery plot donations.

Testimonials

Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond our original project to assist us in creating digital assets for our online communications. We are so grateful to have Sarah join our volunteer community! She is a wonderful asset to any team.
