Project details

What we need
  • A set of success metrics for the Organization's program such as key performance indicators and secondary performance indicators
  • Guidelines on how to measure success metrics, how often to measure them, and how to present metrics to internal and external stakeholders
Additional details

Identify park and trail-related impact metrics on people's connection to nature, community health and wellness, and economic development with a breakdown among different demographics in a small town in central Virginia. The park exists, but is being expanded over a three-year period. The trail will provide access to largely conserved landscape and connect the town to a national landmark and result in a 20-mile network of shared use trails.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a work plan for developing the park and trail, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a trail consultant with experience measuring trail use, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,164 , allowing us to develop better green infrastructure within the community.

A group of private funders are looking to invest significant funding to expand and update a small-town park and develop a trail in a diverse, underserved rural community over a three-year period through our Town to Trail initiative. Impact metrics will enable us to share the benefits of that investment to the funders, the community and other interest parties. Communicating the project benefits will likely enable us to attract funding for additional phases of the Town to Trail initiative.
