Additional details
We are looking for someone passionate about arts, wellness and social justice to research companies that have corporate sponsorhip and donation programs around health, wellness, and fitness for Black and underresourced communities. We are launching an audacious health disparity/ workforce development program that will dramatically impact intergenerational poverty, decrease health disparities, and create resilience and joy, but don't have the funding needed to be successfully sustainable.
What we have in place
- We currently have information about our new program and lots of enthusiasm, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a website, social media presence, even more enthusiasm, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to focus funds on creating free arts and wellness programs that impact social justice; including dance with literacy, Fall Prevention for seniors, Back Pain courses, and scale our workforc
We are doing beautiful arts and wellness work in communities that usually don't access. We're trying to double our budget to support the launch of an audacious project that will impact health disparities, create employment, and bring joy and resilience to underresourced Black and Brown communities. We've done 12 years of very impactful work with very little funding. We're trying to dramatically shift this so we can do this important community strengthening work without the exhaustion.

Our mission

In a positive and nurturing environment, mature dancers challenge the stereotypes of aging, create artistic work that is relevant and accessible to diverse and underserved audiences, promote mind and body healing through health and fitness programs, and create economic opportunities for young people.
What we do

2) Free community arts & wellness classes: Dance, Dance with Literacy (Black history and African American poetry), Pilates for Back & Joint Pain, Fall Prevention for Seniors
3) Pilates & Joyful Movement Life Skills Certification- creates audacious movement leaders in under resourced communities that bring arts, pain prevention, fall prevention, nutrition, financial literacy, and well paying careers into their own communities.
