Press Release
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page press release that can be distributed to news outlets
Additional details
Esperanza Dance Project is hosting a virtual fundraiser/silent auction and performance in early April. We usually host an annual performance fundraiser, but this year we are creating a 100% online version of the event. As the event is somewhat complex, we are interested in getting a well written press release and creation of concise event information to share with our community.
What we have in place
- We currently have an event outline and exact details, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a graphic designer, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,348 , allowing us to focus on our next big endeavor of finding a new space for rehearsals, performances and office. We are hoping to reach a larger audience than ever with this event!
This is a very important project for us as our annual fundraiser is vital to the donations and interaction with our community. As this is our 10th anniversary, we want to go above and beyond our usual event, and since this year will be 100% online we are in need of additional expertise and assistance to hold a successful online event.
Project plan
Our mission
To eradicate stigma, secrecy and shame associated with surviving childhood sexual violence.
The Esperanza Dance Project is a community-based collaboration that uses a multimedia dance performance to educate about the issue of childhood sexual violence and deliver a message of hope, strength and empowerment.
What we do
Esperanza Dance Project's vision is that all high school students in Arizona learn to recognize warning signs associated with sexual abuse, feel comfortable discussing it openly and compassionately, and become familiar with local resources for support.
We do this by providing a multi-media performance to address childhood sexual violence through dance, music, and spoken word in a way that empowers teens. We provide tools for discussion and understanding through a study guide, written by behavioral health professionals. Additionally we provide local information about ongoing peer advocacy and support connections in the community, and host meaningful question and answer sessions following each performance.
