What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

We are looking to create a membership portal/s that provides information, calendar, and support for your youth and families but also allows us to create a community for our alumni, board, and stakeholders.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a team working on updating our website and creating portals, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have (3) team members that can support, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to start up (2) additional school or community based programs!

BYW is undergoing a merger in order to grow and support our youth all throughout New England. We have seen first hand the importance of having a hub for our wrestlers, families, communities, and supporters come together under one platform.

  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager to discuss current membership program (if applicable), development goals, potential budget for building a membership program, and growth goals

Milestone 1: Information Gathering
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager develop and execute an in-depth SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) around an existing or potential membership program
  • Professional surveys existing and potential members through focus groups and/or one-on-one interviews to obtain qualitative data
  • Professional conducts independent market analysis to research the target market, competition, and peer organizations' membership development strategies

Milestone 2: Drafting Document
  • Professional creates a strategy document that includes proposed member cultivation and engagement recommendations, communications and outreach strategies, and related ongoing programs
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback which the Professional incorporates

Milestone 3: Presentation of Final Deliverable
  • Professional delivers the final document
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional conduct a wrap-up meeting and discuss next steps for implementation of this strategy

Boston Youth Wrestling was established to use the sport of wrestling as a vehicle to promote youth development in inner-city Boston and the Greater Boston Area. Ou goal is to inspire personal, academic. And athletic success through wrestling in order to help our communities' Our mission is to promote youth development in inner-city Boston by inspiring personal, academic, and athletic success through the sport of wrestling, in order to help our communities' youth cultivate the skills tha can put them on the path towards success.

Our mission is to promote youth development in inner-city Boston by inspiring personal, academic, and athletic success through the sport of wrestling. To provide experiences for future life activities by introducing the concepts and skills that can be learned through a variety of sports available in the U.S., and wrestling is no different. The skills learned in wrestling are easily transferable to the classroom, and college-preparedness is a major focus of the sport, and not pipeline dreams, like professional sports. Young people are ready for more programmatic interventions in Boston, and wrestling provides a tremendous opportunity for our city's youth.
