Flexible Marketing Strategy Support
Flexible Marketing Strategy Support
Project details
What we need
- Ongoing marketing strategy support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
- Support may include: defining your marketing goals, determining the right marketing channels, messaging your program, branding, or defining your target audience
- Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details
Digital Wish has enlisted Jordan Bone, NBA Point Guard for the Orlando Magic as Digital Wish's spokesperson! We are ramping up to launch a series of online fundraising events on Zoom where NBA and NFL players will be interviewed and viewers are invited to donate (like a telethon). We need a marketing strategist to help us roll out the program on the new OnZoom platform and develop a solid marketing content schedule for @DigitalWish and the player's Twitter and Instagram accounts.
What we have in place
- We currently have a social media plan calendar, template in place, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have artists and writers ready to produce content, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to give more hotspots to students in need
We are in the midst of a huge twitter and social media campaign. The marketing strategists will be instrumental in developing a plan to expand awareness and encourage donors to give and join our campaign. We're looking for a senior consultant who knows how to market for celebrity spokespeople and/or sports players and teams.
Project plan
Our mission
Bring technology to classrooms in order to prepare students to thrive in the global economy.
What we do
Digital Wish is a 501c-3 nonprofit on a mission to solve technology shortfalls in education. Every child deserves a technology-rich education to provide them with the skills necessary to thrive in the global economy. Digital Wish partners with technology providers to distribute free or reduced-cost educational technology such as refurbished laptops, tablets and internet "hotspots" to schools and teachers. Digital Wish manages a community of 64k educators in the US, assisting them with their technology needs through lesson plans, fundraiser campaigns for their "technology wishes" and access to affordable educational technology used in the classroom. Since its inception in 2006, Digital Wish has granted over 31,000 technology wishes to educators worth over $17 Million, and administered grants together with Verizon, Dell, Motorola, Henderson Foundation, and Microsoft.
Testimonials
Joe is a knowledgeable marketing executive who gets things done rapidly and efficiently. I gave Joe a massive project to tackle Digital Wish's strategy. There are a lot of moving parts and a boat-load of background research that needs to be understood in order to take even the first step. Joe very quickly came up to speed on our programs and tackled our social media transition to HooteSuite with impressive rapidity. Social media feeds are cleanly and seamlessly flowing out now. We look forward to the statistical analysis that will follow as we start to evaluate reports. Joe is a great volunteer and you would be lucky to have him on your team if he applies!
