Project details

What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

We are in the process of transitioning 3-4 volunteer staff to part-time, paid positions. These will be the first employees for our organization, and we are looking to create an employee handbook and any other required or pertinent policies.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an existing volunteer handbook, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have bylaws, articles of incorporation,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to focus our resources on our primary goal of hunger relief.

Our organization is at a critical crossroads. We have been 100% volunteer run until today, and we now have the financial resources to explore the next step in our maturity as an organization. We hope to sustain the work that we're doing and and expand its scope through this effort.

Our mission

TC Food Justice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis. Since March 2016 we have been working with co-ops, grocery stores, and farmers markets to re-distribute their unsalable foods to local hunger relief organizations. We focus on vegetables, fruits, and nutrient rich breads because hunger relief organizations often find it challenging to consistently provide fresh food options for their clients. We seek to improve food insecure individuals' access to fresh, nutritious food.
