Project details

What we need
  • Ready-to-publish copy for a volunteer manual
  • Review of current volunteer manual and suggestions for updates to be made
*Note: For a designed version of the manual, post our Print Materials Design project once you've finalized copy and content
What we have in place
  • Would like to create a volunteer manual for our volunteers. We have the waivers and application for volunteers to complete but we want to have a go-to manual for volunteers.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to invest in volunteer training such as CPR classes and social-emotional learning.

Would like to give volunteers a full understanding of their role with the organization. We depend on our volunteers to assist with programming, managing events, and mentoring youth.

Our mission

At Bat is striving to increase the number of at-risk youth who participate in baseball and softball by providing free clinics and low-cost programs.

What we do

Baseball and Softball Clinics: Introduce youth ages 6 to 13 to the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Youth engage in pitching, catching, and hitting drills.

After-School Program: During the school year, Kindergarten to 8th grade students learn baseball and nutrition fundamentals, build self-esteem, and apply academic concepts to real-life examples through structured activities.

Baseball and Softball Camp: During the summer, youth ages 6 to 13 engage in baseball and softball drills. We partner with local community organizations where there is a limited amount of or no sporting organizations available within the community. We take pride in giving youth who never had the opportunity to learn baseball and softball a chance.
